i'm an Auburn fan and i forget about Pat, think he beat Bama 2/3, out dueled Archie in the gator bowl, was just a great college athlete. i was 6 in his last year at Au but in my memory was always the best player on the field win or lose.

Respectfully, Auburn fans DO NOT forget about Pat Sullivan.
The recruiting for Pat between the two schools was so intense Pat parents had to make a schedule. Mondays were dinner with Bama coaches and Tuesdays was Auburn coaches.
True story... Pat attended an NFL exhibition game in Birmingham with Shug Jordan as coaches guest. Jordan's car broke down in bumper to bumper traffic. Bryant drove by in a police escort. Sullivan asked Jordan who that was. “Boy, that’s Coach Bryant,” Jordan said. “You can either ride with him or walk with me.”
Sullivan had three victories against Alabama as a player, and four consecutive Iron Bowl victories later as an Auburn assistant coach.
The demand for tickets to watch “Sullivan to Beasley” was so great that it allowed Auburn to start its mandatory season-ticket plan. In 1970, Sullivan’s junior season, ticket sales to Auburn football games eclipsed $1 million for the first time.
Aside from Bo, Pat is the greatest player and outstanding man to ever wear an Auburn uniform.
