Yes, it is. The only time in the history of the program we've been a "6-6/7-5" program was when we were on the 2nd of multiple probations that also meant we had a below average coaching staff. And even then we sandwiched in a 10 win, Top 10 season in there. So yea, it's a pretty far off prospect to think we're going to turn into a 6-6 program.
The most likely scenario is we hire a very solid replacement, remain at the elite top for 2-3 years and then fall into the very solid but not elite every single season category and recruiting drops from Top 3 every year to Top 10 every year and Top 5 sometimes.
The only way we turn into some sad sack program is if we hire an absolute disaster who pisses away everything Saban built in 2-3 years and then hits rock bottom in year 4 and guts the roster. I have full faith in our AD, who has a fantastic track record of hiring coaches in big sports, to make a solid (or even better than that) hire to replace Saban.
