Misconception of his contract. We only owe him a buyout if we fire him…but y’all do not have to pay it if you hire him.
It’s a win/win for both of us…y’all will get that unbelievable incoming class (and he win with it) and we get rid of him.

This is all a smokescreen for Muss. Arkansas gonna have to pony up and triple his pay. Which is a smokescreen for Oats, who desires a new arena and what do you know, we have one waiting for him in Austin.

SC hits 11-20 from 3, including some from 30 feet, as well as 85% of their FT.
Now, with that said, our defense is terrible now. That has to be coaching or just players that don't want to play defense. Oscar called out his teammates.
Cal can go, that is fine. Not sure his fire is still there at this point. He said when the Board introduced him in 2009 he wasn't sure he would coach past 60, and maybe this is why. Superclass next year. Could we keep them intact if we have Oates or Stevens? Maybe.
I don't know the answer. This might be a players thing. They might not like each other or something.
In any event, we are heading to another 9-16 type season. Uninspiring play all around.

Personally, if I'm in charge of hiring Texas' next men's basketball coach, I'm doing everything I can to get Jay Wright to come out of retirement. He's a great coach and the right guy to hire after firing a scoundrel.
