At 56 Monken is a prime candidate for a head coaching job but he seems like the type who might be happier with a career as an OC.
He could probably make more money as an OC in the NFL but as you aptly point out, Athens is a pretty nice environment to settle into without the pressure of an NFL gig.
Monken seems to be working well with Kirby. Kirby was a DC so the offense is Monken's domain.
My guess is Monken will be happy to stay at Georgia as long as our admins continue to pay him what he's worth which is a lot.

I really believe a HC position is the only way Monken leaves Athens until he retires. The NFL OC position is skewing younger and younger these days and 56 is too old IMO.
