No but Bama used to poach the hell out of Georgia in recruiting. I remember several years ago thinking, god damn, Richt is recruiting well but they’re still losing so many 4-5 stars to Bama.
Kirby is keeping most of them in state now and they’re not AS dominant depth wise. They’re still hella good on depth but UGA and now with LSU under Kelly, we’ve caught up. Kirby was still very important to them winning, though. But the catalyst? Nah.

Wasn't just Bama. It was also Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, FSU. The difference between Kirby and Richt is Kirby recruits the hell out of the lines where as Richt recruited more skill players. Kirby also recruits nationally much better the Richt did
