The 1998 Florida team wasn't nearly as good as the Florida teams Peyton played and anyone who watched both teams knows why Tee Martin didn't get as much pub as Peyton. Martin was 7/20 for 64 yards in the 1998 Florida game. Florida honestly dominated the box score in that game but lost. Martin didn't carry Tennessee to victory in really any game in that season.

I don't know why Peyton is brought into it. Our offenses didn't lose those games that PM played against UF.

Stats without context are a funny thing, especially this far away from when those games happened... You could take a box score from almost every blowout we had this season and claim that the other team actually dominated because TOP, number of plays, and several other indicators (sometimes even in yards total gained) are going to make it look like it.

As for QBs.... Hooker has got to be up there but we've had a lot of really good college QBs over the years. Holloway is finally getting the love he deserves but any list of Vol QBs without Tony Robinson and Josh Dobbs is incomplete.

Peyton threw 4 first half picks in 96. Florida went up 35-0.

I know he eventually passed for a ton of yards and got them within a touchdown but the offense definitely helped cost them that game.
