yes saban was right but it merely shone a light on how asinine bowl games were to begin with. win your conference? that matters. beating oregon? who the frick cares, seriously. it was glossed and glorified the entire time. take off your rose tinted glasses and realize it's NCAA and the bureaucrat lefty media that have hyped these games and raked in revenue the entire time. with thay being said, as long as the Steve's Bologna Sandwich Bowl(TM) crap is around, everyone on scholarship and especially with the NIL shite should be required to play in them

First, that should definitely be the name for a bowl.
Second, how is that game any less meaningful than playing in a game vs. Mercer a couple weeks prior? Where does the line get drawn?
