but if you had a sampling of 1000 college guys and you picked 10 out of that 1000 and had them practice volleyball for 6 months the guys would win easily.
Except that's completely different from what was posted:

Those chicks would get beat by a group of random guys with only a marginal interest in volleyball who met maybe an hour before the match.
Having 1,000 men try out for 10 spots is vastly different than "a group of random guys with only a marginal interest in volleyball"

Except I wasn't replying to him I was replying to you. What anyone else posted in this thread is irrelevant to my comment.

You're talking about 6'3 girls with 30"+ verticals who have played volleyball for a decade.
No we are not, or they would be dunking consistently.

You could pick 10 guys out of a thousand and they would get their asses kicked by these girls.
Picking 10 guys is exactly what you said. I added the caveat of them being a similar age to the girls and spending a small amount of time practicing together.

The whole point is, it's nice that these girls won a championship. Happy for them. Happy women's sports exist. Pretending that they would be elite athletes in the world of men's sports is disingenuous.
