There is more to it. Even now, Dabo looks like he just swallowed a bad oyster every time he speaks about Klubnik. Streeter, too. Something happened. We may never know what, but something big.

He knows he screwed up, narcissistic attitude when he couldn't admit it. It took him 4 full games to turn to TLaw over Kelly, the talent gap there was huge and EVERYONE saw it. D Watson had to wait a few game behind Cole freaking Stout. I think he feels bad turning thr page but the DJ Cabe thing was personal for some reason, and DJ was by all accounts a great teammate so I am sure he was worried about losing the locker room to some degree. DJ was BROKEN for whatever reason (apparently had a bad family situation for the last year or so). He has amazing arm "talent" but not a good QB and can't handle adversity.

very few people, in any walk of life, can stomach admitting they were wrong. The massive ego on successful football coaches makes this almost impossible. Dabo has this aw shucks demeanor but make no mistake, his ego is as big as anyone and he isn't going to tolerate some bucktooth fan telling him he's wrong even when the whole world can see that he is. I don't think he's lying. I think he actually believes the bullshite he's shoveling which is worse
