Saban has said, repeatedly over the years, that he never deals in hypotheticals. Yet, this year, this was one of his excuses i.e. bama would be favored over all 4 teams. Little Nicky turning into a common hypocrite as he ages.

He learned well from his time at LSU seeing as how their fans can't take one step without tripping over their own unabashed hypocrisy...

Saban has no problems moving the goalposts. Of course neither do any other desperate people.
