Mississippi State has a lot of pieces to pick up and put together.

a DEVASTATING loss of our HC with a team full of system players and no Athletic Director.

i hope we have good people in place...this is a tough situation, and obviously one that is insignificant when compared to the devastation the Leach family is going through.

Looking back - I'm really happy he ended up getting an Egg Bowl win for his last one.

He'll be remembered going out on top in Starkville.

Dude is an absolute icon in college football.

Not to take away from losing Coach Leach - he's in a better place than all of us ...

But I think you have to just hire Arnett. We are in no place for a coaching search. Death of a sitting coach. No athletic director.

Arnett is probably not ready for an SEC job. I think you just have to give him a 4 year contract, try to keep the staff together and give him a couple years. If he doesn't work out, then you can do a proper search.

Mississippi State is set up for a big year next year. The schedule is favorable and lots of key pieces return.

Definitely a tough situation for y’all. Texas Tech and Washington State both basically completely collapsed after Leach left. I don’t think it’s possible to quickly rebuild when you’re trying to replace someone with that good of a football mind, with that specific of a system, with that strong of a likable personality. Your program is going to have a void for a while and I’m sure it’s going to feel off for everyone involved for a long time
