Praying for his recovery. I would imagine if god willing he recovers it will impact the Miss St. program. Seems like a serious heart attack however. LINK

It’s more than just the heart attack. I have a feeling once his other 2 sons arrive in Jackson today, decisions will be made. Very sad situation. He will certainly be missed in the CFB world

yah, it's terrible. My uncle suffered a stroke and he didn't get medical attention for a few hours. He survived but there were a few hours where his brain didn't get oxygen and he died a few days later. Hope for the best but not good news - LINK

Mississippi State 24/7 board reporting that he’s in “comfort care” right now which is essentially hospice care. Absolutely stunning how fast all of this happened

Very sad to hear this.
Leach is great coach with a unique endearing personality.
Prayers on the way.

I was keeping up with the Miss St board. It sounds like Coach Leach is in very bad shape and not expected to pull through. If he had a heart attack and oxygen was deprived to the brain for a a period of time it can be very disabling and often cause death. My uncle lasted a few days. In those situations it's not a bad way to go rather then live on w/o very limited cognitive abilities.

I happened to watch the SkyCast after the MSU game, and got to catch Leach and Bennett talking after the game, and it's something I especially appreciate now. Great man.

RIP Coach Leach. He was one of a kind.

He seemed very ill during the postgame presser last month.

Ditto. RIP Coach Leach. He was a unique coach and a great personality for college football. That is a really tough loss for Miss. St. I'm sure he probably expected to stay there several more years.
