Something we saw with my late MIL was that the hospital didn't want her to die in their care they really, really wanted her to go to a facility where deaths happened a lot.
And that's what happened. We barely got her there 36 hours before she passed. My demented FIL was so impressed with the dining room there that he was looking forward to going there to eat.
