Let’s be real
Outside of bear Bryant and Saban, Bama has not been special
Fortunately they both had long runs
But minus them Bama as a brand is mid grade
Most of the country thinks that the state of Alabama is a backwater, backwards joke.
Ohio is much more respected.
The Bama brand is only strong because Saban’s run
Once he’s gone Bama will be a NASCAR state primarily as football will fall into the background with Bama miring back into mediocrity
Maybe freeze can keep Auburn relevant however
But bama’s brand got outmuscled by The Ohio State and it’s why the Gumps are scared of Texas which is a MUCH stronger blue blood brand

Maybe, but the educated portion knows Alabama was the birthplace of the Apollo program, has one of the top 4 research complexes in the world, and soon to be home to the U.S Space Command.
