Sometimes, perhaps.
That being said:
LSU from 2017-2019: 34-7
LSU 2020-2021: 11-12
Auburn from 2017-2019: 27-13
Auburn from 2020-2021: 12-12
It's not always a good indicator. Sometimes it can be a pretty false one.
