So what was it 22 players ? Oh I see 38.

Well, who's fault was that ?

Well, lets just say at 6-6, O was fired, 4 guys opted out for the NFL draft, and more than that hit the portal hit the portal as soon as the season was over. LSU was not the only team the last few years in that position when there was a coaching change. Just the reality of modern College football with a Portal last year that had no controls on it. At least this year, it is open on 5 December tomorrow but closes I think on the 18th of January.

Last year guys were leaving with no regulation and players were transferring mid spring semester, getting enrolled in mini-semesters or short session on-line courses at Universities. The result is in LSU's case, we had trouble running full scrimmages in spring ball last year.

At least this year after 18 January, the portal closes until sometime in May again after the spring semesters end but before Summer sessions start across campuses throughout the USA.

Thanks for the genuine post. I honestly didn't know.

Snarky satire is my shtick, I'm glad you rose above that in your reply.
