Very frustrating we waited until the 10th game to realize we can run the ball consistently

This OL and Roydell/Jase were plenty capable of running the football well all season long - with Gibbs sprinkled in at RB, split out, motion, etc, and we just refused to lean into it until the 2nd half of the Ole Miss game. Could have completely changed things for the offense.

Oh well, guess I'm glad we finally saw that light.

Part of it was that we don’t have a Brian Robinson north/south power back on the roster right now, but its also a result of calling soft stretch plays with mid size backs that didn’t work against any defense with a pulse because the RB never gets any upfield momentum.

Another example IMO of situations where a team can look soft when it’s actually largely play calling to blame.

I disagree. I think Jase and Roydell can absolutely be that guy and that our OL can get consistent push when they are allowed to get in a groove.
