replacing a significant number of staff and losing arguably the best QB and defensive player they've had during this run.

Could Mac Jones, Tua or Hurts have done the things Bryce has done with the kind of OL play Bama has had the past two seasons?

I feel like if this thing were easy to fix, it would have been fixed already.

Weird thing is, all those advanced stats are still saying they are elite. One of the best net offensive/defensive YPP ratios in college football. Hard to miss the playoff with that historically.

I mean, on one hand, if they win out they lost two games about as close as the can possibly be. Are they really slipping or is it just luck?

OTOH, just can't seem to dominate on the road the way they used to no matter who they are playing, unless it's someone like Vandy.

Will they try to get more physical running the football in hopes that complements their defensive style and gets that toughness back?

Gonna be an interesting offseason.

NIL has destroyed the Bama advantage. It is obvious they are just like everyone else now.

That'd make sense if they lost quality player to NIL. They still had a great class last year, just like we did. The fact they are hitting the portal so hard though, that seems somewhat telling. Although, they weren't picking up stiffs there. But didn't seem to work in one year though.

Their road schedule is a lot easier next year.

@ South Florida
@ Mississippi State
@ A&M
@ Kentucky
@ Auburn

The only one they could realistically drop is @ A&M.

Auburn doesn’t have the talent to compete barring a great head coach coming in and bringing in some elite transfers.

They’ve got a much tougher home slate. Texas and LSU could go either way.

Texas
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Tennessee
LSU

I really don’t understand why people are thinking Alabama is done. Last year, they lost one road game to prior to losing the final. They still won the SEC championship beating a really good YGA team. This year they dropped two games on the road by a combined 5 points. People need to pump the brakes on all this Alabama is mediocre talk stuff.

That was by a combined FOUR points, AND on the last play of BOTH games!
