They did win a championship 30 years ago, though.

My point is UGA has effectively wiped their arse with this game, and made Florida look significantly better than they are in the process.

Made UF look significantly better than they are?
Name a team in the country that Florida couldn't beat right now.
If they can somehow get into the national title game, I'll put my money on them. They are very very good on both sides of the ball.

no offenseive line and injuries everywhere. if stafford and knowshon stay, then there are no excuses for next year.

and yes the original post included quite a bit of shite talking.

you are missing the point dude, this was UGA's YEAR loaded with talent, experienced QB, explosive RB, tall fast WR's, preseason #1, etc...

but OFCOURSE Richt found a way to screw it all up.

your coach will never win a NC, and he is highly OVERRATED, LSU is rebuilding this yr.

FL was my preseason pick to win the NC this yr, they have pretty much everyone back from last yr. and that young defense has more experience this yr.

wrong, we will be better next year provided either knowshon or stafford stay.

this is not a rebuilding year from lsu. i have heard that it wasnt from almost everyone. they all say you are loaded with talent and better than last year besides your qb.

"Right now" is tricky...does it mean this season? Because the answer would be Ole Miss.

If it means right now (as in now, at this moment)...the answer is nobody. Florida is playing perfect football (today).

But how do you reconcile the two?

To answer the question, USC and Oklahoma could handle Florida on a neutral field. Bama could beat them in Tuscaloosa but prolly not in Atlanta.

we are loaded with talent, but many of the KEY positions are freshman and fist time starters, our QB, DBs, LBs, etc....

The thing that sets them apart right now is that defense. There are alot of teams in the top 10 with explosive offenses but none have the defense to go with it. The Gators do.

that shows that gainning experience in college football goes a LONG way, FL's defense sucked arse last yr, and now the same guys are pretty good.

same with LSU's qb, and d-secondary, We will compete for the NC again next yr.

USC does. However they don't have as explosive an offense or near the resume.
