Guy brought a title to Miss state as AD.

Plus has good contacts in the SEC coaching circles to replace Harsin.

He has worked hands on with several available coaches with SEC HC experience.

State fans and a lot of people inside the program are thrilled he’s being hired away. That should be a massive red flag

Were also happy when Mullen left.

How did that work out for them?

No they weren’t.

They were initially thrilled with the Moorhead hire but they were never happy that Mullen was hired away from them.

I’ll take your word for it as you share the state with them.

I don’t follow them as close as you might because of that.

Speaking of Mullen, Bodda Getty 247 is heating up with a lot of smoke on a potential Harsin replacement…

The team that hired him won 2 ny6 bowls and a sec division title.

Not too poor. I bet that team wish they still had him. But they can’t have him of the rumors on 247 are true…

If Auburn hires Mullen instead of Freeze or Kiffin, their fans may riot

Not me.

Too much baggage with kiffin and freeze.

Mullen is just as a good an offensive mind. I’d love to see him on the plains!

What is the baggage with Kiffin?

Freeze has done his time and it’s not like Auburn is a program that can act holier than thou

Link? Or fill me in. Being serious, I have not heard anything about rumors except one of he and a female staffer from a while back but I thought that had been proven false. Maybe I missed something

The division title he got, he rested players and clearly spent the game week leading up to LSU to prepare for Bama instead like they were an NFL team with locked seeding heading to the playoffs. And because of that, they lost to the worst LSU team this century with barely enough scholarship players to qualify to even play the game. And despite all that extra prep for Bama still lost that game too That's how the most talented Florida team since Meyer ended up with diddly squat. That's bush league coaching no matter how you spin it.

To quote the Florida coach before him, he got what he deserved

Raiders
A 32 year old who had never been more than a college OC failed as an NFL HC? How is that a bad look on Kiffin?
quote:

Tennessee
7-6 his first year with Crompton as his QB. Yeah leaving for USC after one year sucks but USC is a better program in his home state.
quote:

USCw
Took over immediately after the NCAA hammered them with sanctions due to the previous staff. He was never going to be successful in that situation.

Kiffin has made one controversial decision his entire coaching career, and that was leaving Tennessee for USC after 1 year. All of this “baggage” people claim that he has is really minor.

Good points

But most Florida fans now wish they had him back instead of Napier!

Not true

It’s hard to recruit at Florida because Bama, Clemson, Georgia and Ohio state pluck the talent

Plus Florida’s UAA and old AD foley don’t want the football team to be good because they fancy themselves as some sort of “Stanford of the east” so they don’t support their football team as much as other big programs. That’s why they’ve been irrelevant for over a decade.
