Put the roster and signees on here.

It will probably stay dormant until the real season though.

But good job!

Kinda stoked with Auburn athletics as a whole right now. Basketball, baseball and softball humming...fresh start in football.

As odd as it might sound we should be better on offense. The drop in the pitching staff will determine if this team can compete for a trip to Omaha again

Would like to ramp up discussion here a lil bit with a few questions to ask y'all:

1. What is our biggest strength in your opinion?

2. What will our record be by the end of the season?

3. Will we host a super-regional or at least a regional?

(I am also asking for that sticky so gimme it Riggo/LCT)

I think our P will be good. Loved seeing Jaegar at the facilities. Just shows Butch is willing to still learn and push the guys. Super impressive

Butch has offered a 9th grader I know. Throws 87. Can’t release the kids name yet. Butch doesn’t want it out this early. He will probably throw around 92 by the time he graduates. After you get to around 85 if you are able to increase your velocity by 1 mph per year is good development. Kid has nice loose arm action and hasn’t developed his lower body strength yet.

There is a kid at Hoover that needs a look ‘24 kid. 3rd baseman. Good pitcher, hitter, and fielder. Probably a pitcher or corner outfielder in college because is a very good athlete as well. Throws about 90.

He’s flying way under the radar but will be a potential draft pick as well.

Yep it’s insane. I went to a small high school but we played all the big schools and beat most and in my 5 years of playing varsity I only faced 4 pitchers that threw over 90. Now seems like every team has 1 guy that’s right at it. I’d say average high school pitcher throws 83-85.

Chase Isbell is a name to watch for to step up this year. He looked pretty good the couple times he got in the postseason. He will push for the closer role. He’s very good friends with my son and dated my stepson’s sister in high school.

It's going to be hitting and defense this year.

Just went through the schedule and am going with 37-18 (17-13). No sweeps either way. SEC series wins against UGA, TAMU, @Bama, State, @SCAR, LSU, and Mizzou.

That record should have us hosting, but probably not national seed.

posted this in the wrong thread...

Butch was on a podcast with Jason Caldwell. Good interview he discussed a lot of the expected players.

Sounds like going into spring preseason scrimmages it'll be Gonzo, Allsup as the Friday Saturday starters. Chase Isbell the closer. Clearly all could shake up out of the scrimmages or the first few out of conference series. Got a lot of young arms

Good stuff Corch. The exhibition game I attended, Allsup had really good location and velocity. Gonzalez is a given weekend guy but I'm not sure who will emerge as the 3rd starter. Isbell looks strong and I expect him to fill in nicely as the closer this year. It will be interesting to see which young guns come out and grab some mound time this year. Butch has built a strong program with a great staff and they recruit well. AU baseball is in good hands. Looking forward to the season, only a few weeks away!

In the interview I can’t remember who he said his name was but one of the new lefties possibly being the Sunday guy.

One of the freshmen is throwing 95 so you have to figure he gets some innings in this year. Probably midweek game stuff early and go from there.

Chase Isbell isn’t Burkhalther tho. As much as I love the kid he’s got some huge shoes to fill in the closet role and you might see a round robin there some unless Chase just takes it over
