Herbstreit was talking about intensity during practice and have alpha's in the room and then he went on to say something about Jon Allen and maybe Ryan Anderson having Crazy Tony kicked off the practice field for lack of effort/focus...

Is that a story I just missed or is this nugget new to us?

Had a buddy who was on the training staff (water/towel boy) as an undergrad in 2016. Let’s just say I hope half of those practices never make it to the light of day. It’s why that defense was the best unit I’ve ever seen on a field. They were always pissed off and held every single person accountable.

I missed part of the story myself, but it sounded like it may have happened in 2015 because they said guys like Allen and Jarran Reed would not let practice continue until Tony was off the practice field.

I think Tony Brown learned from it, though.

Are you asking if we knew about a sophomore Tony Brown being kicked out of the Cotton Bowl in 2015?

If so, yes.

He started a fight during practice and the leadership council (made up of players) sent his arse home from Dallas.

If I'm not mistaken, the leadership committee...which probably would have included Allen and Anderson...insisted on Brown being sent home from Dallas before the 2015 semifinal with Michigan State.

edit: sorry I didn't see the previous replies first. Here is a link to the story.

I thought Herbie started Reed AShawn Robinson stopped practice till brown got the boot.... Regardless of which leader(s) made the call...we know they got their way because brown was sent back to TTown

On a side note...I remember laughing at AShwan's recruting photo... especially when compared to JK Scott's

And as a fully grown man with a mortgage and stuff.... If AShawn the freshman said move...I would have
