For the record, in 1907 Touchdowns were 5 points, field goals were 4 points.
The field was also 110 yards long, you only had 3 downs to make a first down, and the forward pass was in it's 2nd year of being legal...sort of, because an incomplete pass was a 15 yard penalty(from the throwing spot), you couldn't throw it for more than 20 yards, and you weren't allowed to catch a pass in the endzone.

Not debating the differences in era's (WW I really did kill Sewanee as they went to war and never really recovered) same way WW II killed Minnesota
Just stating Alabama was good but lost to Sewannee
Alabama lost 1 game and scored 70 points for the season
Sewanee scored 54 in 1 game to beat Alabama
Hence my point
