Stock and Barrell (burgers) is a staple but it's small and on market square - if you want to eat here go by and put your name in an hour+ before you want to eat, then go to suttrees and get a beer and play pinball while you wait.
Other top options around downtown that may be easier to get in quickly:
Chivo (Mexican)
Kaizen (Japanese)
Souther Grist (American)
Balter Beerworks (Brewery with great food)
Adopo (pizza)
I hate Calhouns but people seem to love it - it'll be slammed.
If you like beer go check out Schultz Brau, Crafty Bastard, or Pretentious.
Enjoy the weekend in town.

Calhoun’s on the river for good barbecue.
No kidding ?
Back when I worked at Oak Ridge, we used to go to a Calhoun's. There were two of them, and Calhoun's on the River had Sunday Brunch. It was a buffet ... kind of like a really kick arse Meat and Three.
Nothing about BBQ. Great mashed potatoes though. Almost Amish good.
