Chris Doering just did a really good breakdown of the last play on SEC Football Final. I was wrong about King being late with the ball. King released on time based on his drop back. There was no hitch or hesitation.
Doering had a perfect video angle that showed Stewart was too shallow on his route before breaking back to the pylon. He said Stewart needed to sell the fade route more to get the DB to turn his hips and create more room in the end zone to work. Just a learning experience for Stewart going forward.

Doesn't matter if King was late or not, he threw a bad ball that wasn't catchable in the end zone. I still think PI could have and should have been called, I don't care if they had just called it, the Bama DB was tackling Stewart already when the ball was in the air.
