This is a terrible matchup for LSU.
Matchup wise, I think it's actually a plus for LSU. Our biggest weakness on offense matches up with their biggest weakness on defense. Tennessee is probably the better team and should win, but that doesn't make it a particularly bad matchup. A bad matchup for LSU would be facing a team with a good pass defense that stacks the box and forces us to beat them throwing the ball. If Tennessee was good in pass coverage, that would be a nightmare matchup for LSU.
What LSU can't afford to do against Tennessee is what they did against Auburn. If LSU gets down by two touchdowns early against Tennessee, very doubtful they'll ever be able to catch back up.

Tennessee isn't nearly as bad against the pass as everyone believes imo. AR played to his full potential last weekend and made plays that were almost undefendable at times after the play broke down.
To get a more accurate representation of our pass defense, i suggest to watch the Pitt game. We aren't great but also not as bad as AR made us look. We live and die by our pass rush imo.
If Daniels can scramble enough to make plays break down then our secondary will have problems. If he can't and is forced to be a pocket passer we will get to him early and often and force a few turnovers looking much better than you guys are evaluating us at.
Every defensive gameplan and QB is different.
