Context is still everything though. This response was from a question about “hateful competitors” that Saban referenced a couple weeks ago. Many of the beat reporters have been asking players about this since. So Will Anderson didn’t just randomly state this. He answered a question relative to it. About his personal motivation.

Doesn't matter. It hurt Hugh McElroy's delicate sensibilities so Will Anderson is clearly an arse.
