I loved what McElroy did for us (super tough kid, won our first title in 17 years) but he couldn't possibly be the best QB Auburn faced that year could he?
Update: I had forgotten that Oregon lost their starting QB right before the game. Darron Thomas wasn't a bad QB, but not really in the same tier as those others.
Trying to remember who played for who way back in 2010 is rough.

South Carolina - Garcia (Auburn played him twice)
Miss State - Chris Relf (I think?)
UGA - Aaron Murray
Alabama - McElroy
Oregon - Darron Thomas
That’s all I remember off of the top of my head. I think Clemson also had a serviceable QB in 2010 but I can’t remember his name.
ETA: I think Ole Miss had Jeremiah Masoli, the transfer from Oregon.
