I don't know what game Drunkwitz was watching during the Kansas State game but Brady Cook had the deer in the headlights look. It was against his first real opponent so I don't know how you just give him the starting position he didn't do shite. I say give each quarterback a quarter on Saturday and whoever plays the best gets to start against Auburn

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd things that need to happen before anything else is get the OL to block.

Granted I think the OL needs work but both Cook and Abraham underthrew or missed on WRs that had corner/safety beat for big plays/easy TDs ...

Cook was not very accurate (even with no pressure) and Abraham's arm/reads were terrible for a 6th year QB ...

If Horn doesn't get at least a series this weekend, there is something very wrong with Drink's approach to future development ...

Maybe let Horn sit a few more games and let him start the last 4.

Or

Like you said play him a few series a game until after the Florida game. Then there is a bye week and then he becomes QB1 against Vandy.

Horn has only been in Columbia for 3 1/2 months by the Vandy game he could be ready.

Negative
Horn may not be ready(under any coach) and need a year or 2 of development. Then he can transfer to another SEC school and show his true talent or quit football and focus on baseball.

I think trying to preserve Horn’s redshirt is a lost cause. He’s got too many options to care about that. He ought to see some snaps tomorrow, there’s no way ACU is better than some of the competition he saw in HS

The kid won a state championship at the highest level of football here in GA ... beating a Milton team in the semis that had far more D1 athletes than his squad...

quote:

Ranked No. 3 nationally in multiple polls, Collins Hill became the first team in the highest classification to win every game by 15 or more points since 1971 Valdosta. Sam Horn, a Missouri commit, passed for 228 yards, giving him 10,022 for his career, good for eighth all-time in Georgia

It's not Horn who isn't ready ... I think it's Drink's ability to call plays ...
