I was in my sophomore year when that freak, undetected monsoon swept through Austin the night before the game.
I worked as a camera man at KBTX on the morning show with Mike Wright. Even the t-sip fan who worked there admitted that the field soaking was deliberate and poor form.

Gonna be wet for Texas/Alabama. Hopefully they can figure out how to keep the power on at the airport.

It’s is all part of Sarks plan. When you realize that your team sucks and it’s going to get demolished on national tv, you call in the rain and then Forfeit . The forfeit worked for aggy when they realized that WAKE was going to destroy them and, you avoid the L. Jimbo is smarter than he looks.
