I have been eating mutton and got all my life, they are very tasty

My favorite meats*
#1 Fish
#2 Bison
#3 Lamb
#4 Game birds (including wild turkey)
#5 Pork (non commercial)
#6 Beef (local)
#7 Small game (squirrel / rabbit)
#8 Goat

Do not eat supermarket chicken or turkey. Not a fan of industrial beef or pork

*Bacon is at the top but just a cut of pork, not the whole pig

#6 Beef (local) - yes; when we were in KS we'd get a whole slaughterd cow once a year and process it. Couldnt be beat
#7 Small game (squirrel / rabbit)- both awesome; I just made a spanish braised rabbit last night. so damn tasty
