I guarantee he did. In fact, the whole University owes the apology and there should be a policy put in place to avoid these things in the future.

What do you call this thread? Pretty divisive if you ask me. There's even a thread on the main board.
Facts are, She was wrong. Tanner was wrong. If the University went along with it, They are wrong. shite happens, they were duped and jumped to conclusions.

Would we really expect Ray Tanner to push back against his most successful coach in a race-based matter? In today’s environment? Of course not.
There’s a lot to despise Ray Tanner over, but this is one of those situations where he was between a rock and a hard place. He chose to deal with the PR blowback from certain segments of today’s media and our state’s politicians because Dawn wins trophies and any semblance of us not going along with her reasoning could lead to a negative racial narrative that would sink our athletics.
And let’s be honest, everyone. This is a matter that will have ZERO impact on Dawn’s ability to recruit the top WBB players in the country because they’ll all likely agree with her decision regardless of the facts. She’ll have us at least in the Final 4 again next year, and that is ultimately the criteria that her and Tanner are judged against.
While the facts of the matter are embarrassing for our university, especially when considering her reaction to Mizzou’s false accusations, we’ll simply just have to take it on the chin and deal with it because we need Dawn to bring success to our athletics (which, of course, is an indictment on Tanner’s tenure).
