Irrelevant or you're confused or both.

Maryland has not been considered a southern state since joining the Union.

Cause we keep them confederates in VA and they couldn't go north. Maryland locked down the Potomac.

Well, to be fair (unless my memory is off), they voted to join the CSA, but Lincoln sent the military in to arrest the governor and legislature.
