Two STL area teams are on the schedule but the obvious one.

Ku game should be a madhouse with this schedule. No reason to not be undefeated or at worst a one loss going into that

I’d be fine with playing SLU, it would certainly be more intriguing than the first 7 games on our schedule. But to us folks outside of STL, they are largely irrelevant and there are many other noncons I’d prefer over them

The program is not in a position to pick and choose an opponent right now. Mizzou Arena is barely full for a matchup with Kentucky.

Perfectly said. SLU doesn't move the needle any more than a school like SEMO to me.

I will be the outlier here... I think its great you play in state schools and Kansas.

Missouri produces all the basketball talent y'all need. So the first step to locking down all that talent is to establish that Missouri is the biggest, baddest, best team in the state. So go out and whip the smaller schools like you caught them stealing.

You and I are the outliers.

Some fans pretend this program is above everyone else in the state when it’s not and hasn’t been for well over a decade…..really since Norm retired. Competition is good. Iron sharpens iron.

They're the 2nd biggest program in the state and pull some decent talent out of region, so hopefully they ping the radar slightly better than SEMO .

You're not wrong and I didn't mean it as a slight or any kind of smack talk against SLU. It's a fine program, but I just truly never even think of them other than when a few posters on here/Tigerboard bring them up.

And I completely understand why fans on the other side of the state wouldn't care, but I would think that another game in STL every couple of years could only help recruiting the area.
