I've never seen a good coach that won't look for the right buttons to push to motivate and get the best out of each player. Some need a kick in the pants and some don't. You have players that already take a lot of pride in their performance and are sometimes so hard on themselves that can get in the way of progress. Pushing the right buttons is what a great coach will eventually figure out about his team when it comes to coaching.

Najee stuck around 4 years and enjoyed his time at BAMA, winning 2 national championships. Someone was pushing the right buttons.

THIS is why Coach Saban employs a team of phycologists to aide him in determining how to approach each player and which buttons to push to get the best out of them.
