Iowa is the podunk state with 3.1 million people and no pro sports teams.
Oklahoma is a small state of 4.2 million people and one pro sports team. Oklahoma has 2 metro areas of over one million population for each. Iowa has one metro-Des Moines-with a total metro population of 600,000....smaller than the city of OKC and barely larger than the city of Tulsa.
