You keep harping on past achievements but the game has just changed. Players are unionizing and Kevin Warren and the B1G are leading by meeting with their representatives while Sankey and the good ole boys in Birmingham continue to play checkers.

The Big Ten can make as much money as it wants, but will still lose to the SEC in title games. That much will never change.

The Big Ten has two disadvantages they are in the cold for most of the college football season, and they are in dying areas. There is nothing the Big Ten can do about that.

Even if the Big Ten takes in UNC, UV, and Miami, exactly how many NC have they won in the last 25 years? The Big Ten could take the rest of the college football teams nationwide, and they still will not win the vast majority of the Big 3 sports NC, the little SEC will.

The reason to play major sports is to win NC, and no conference does it better than the SEC. The Big Ten since 2000 has won 2 NC in football and one basketball, the teams you added UCLA last won a NC in basketball in 1995 before that 1975, and USC last won a National title in football in 2004 before that 1978...

The SEC has lapped the Big Ten in major sports and now the Big Ten has taken two has been major sports programs.

The Big Ten can make all the money they want, the SEC will be winning all the titles they want, and titles attract eyes.

Yep, geography and demographics don't lie. The 3 most populated SEC states have a combined 157 blue chippers in the 2023 class. The 3 most populated B1G states (and this includes CA for UCLA/USC) has a combined 39.
Even the state of AL has over twice as many as OH now.

You have no business sense. The players are going to be following the money. And the money gap between the B1G and everyone else is only going to grow. Why would an elite player stay in the south when he can go north and make more. It would not surprise me to see athletes fulfill their senior year of eligibility because the B1G will pay so well.
