It would be nice if the reporters who have clearly seen the probable cause statement would just post it instead of reporting bits and pieces of it. Would likely answer a lot of questions. I'm not sure how TX works, but TBI in Tennessee takes FOREVER to analyze blood samples for DUI stops. They're always at the very bottom of the pile. I had a kid where we had to wait for almost 6 months to get that report back. Thank god all he had in his system was synthetic weed that didn't show up because his field sobriety test was BAAAAAAD

I don't know what the turnaround time for that stuff. I haven't stepped foot in a criminal court in over a decade at this point. And I have to assume that if the reporter saw mention of marijuana suspicion, they would have mentioned it. But that's a big assumption with small town local journos, I guess.

Also, is that synthetic weed stuff still around?

I remember when it first came out (or got popular) in the early 2000s, and it fricked people up bad. WAY worse than weed.

Even the people I knew who were open to dabbling in less than legal intoxicants wouldn't touch it.
