generally 15-18% of the budget comes from feds. Out of a 50 billion budget in a state with no income tax and a sales tax that’s at 9.9% (for reference after the splost/esplost in ga I was paying 8-9%).

Solid Red conservative leadership (outside pockets like Nashville) are why the state is growing, fiscally stable, and in better shape than our neighbors.

Like who? Mississippi and Alabama are as red as red gets, so not sure the difference in leadership there. So it's hard to say having statewide conservative leadership is the difference there.

Georgia has a massive surplus along with economic and population growth (not to mention a fantastic Republican governor).
