They don't have to just add value. Additional teams have to add proportionally more value to the regular season take home and the postseason take home.
If the projected take home per team is 100 million for sixteen teams? That 1.6 billion annual revenue has to balloon to over 2.4 billion for 24 teams to just break even.
Is there really 100 million in annual value for each (any) of the proposed expansion teams? Probably Notre Dame but that's it.

Not for the sec, bit the big ten could get a huge boost from southern teams, if they deemed non aau schools desirable
