Yeah, but don't forget the ACC expanded and now has 14 teams, so that means 7 have to leave. That many teams would be almost impossible to coordinate. I think the ONLY way, would be for the original Southern ACC teams to band together, all leave at once, and then form an "Atlantic division" to the SEC.
