Played Abbeville this morning to practice for their 2 man scramble this weekend. I was very impressed with the course, especially their greens. They were average speed, but extremely firm. Anyone who couldn’t spin the ball would hit the green and bounce/roll of the back. Buddy in my group eventually figured out to stop aiming for the center and play it short and let it roll onto the green. They had a few bare/thin areas in the fairways, but overall they were in pretty good shape. I’m not saying they’re a top course in the state, but I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course. Pace of play was good too. Just thought I’d share for anyone who hasn’t played there recently.

Last I played there was 15’ and if I’m not mistaken it closed down after that. My parents live out that way and we used to play it a lot back in the day. Glad to hear it’s open again.

Yea the two man tomorrow should have a good turnout. Last yr it was a 3 man they dropped it to two man this yr. Course is in really good shape. You're right, you can aim at the center of the green or pins.
Play it for a bounce or two and you should be fine. Below the hole is best for scoring as most greens slope from back to front. Goodluck tomorrow
