Boosters are representatives of the schools.

Ruiz’s time in front of NCAA investigators is believed to have at least centered on his NIL deal with men’s basketball guard Nijel Pack, a Kansas State transfer who signed a two-year, $800K deal to endorse Ruiz’s two companies, LifeWallet, a healthcare application, and the Cigarette (boat) Racing Team.

So why is the NCAA investigating 2 private companies? This is why they have collectives to blur the line as to what a booster club is. It would take a real idiot to violate NCAA by-laws with the current NIL system.

Well, as I've been telling A&M fans for the past 6 months, all deals have to be approved by the NCAA. So teams are going to literally report themselves for violations.

He must have had some NIL deals that looked questionable. I mean I'm not the one investigating so I don't really know.
