I have no idea what that would mean for LSU.

All of our “rivals” have a bigger priority rival:

UF - UGA
OM - MSU
Bama - Auburn/Tenn
Ark - A&M? (Maybe most likely choice?)
A&M - Ark/Texas
MSU - OM
Aub - Bama/UGA (second most likely?)

I guess we can fall on our sword and take on Vandy every year

No way this is the plan.

Tennessee would get either Kentucky or Vanderbilt. Whoever of Vandy/Kentucky does not get Tennessee would get South Carolina

LSU is in a grouping with Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas A&M that results in either Arkansas or Texas A&M for LSU. My guess is they keep Texas-Oklahoma

Texas-Oklahoma
LSU-A&M
Arkansas-Missouri

Texas-Texas A&M
LSU-Arkansas
Oklahoma-Missouri
