Why? I would love to see them again. The Vols can beat anyone on this tournament. This Vols team is a different team than what Texas faced last year and earlier this year. We actually had the lead against Texas earlier this year and 1 bad inning beat us. We made some uncharacteristic errors and mental mistakes that game in 1 inning that costed some unearned runs. Outside of 1 or 2 innings that game Tennessee handled Texas for majority of the game.

I looked it up and there’s no mention of seeding prior to 1999. My personal recollection because of LSU is they did not seed. The committee was still using districts to assign regional appearances. That goes back to 1986 and prior

That's baseball, dude. OU beat us in the Big 12 championship 8-1, with all 8 runs coming in the third inning. And there is zero chance I would ever argue "well, if you take away that one inning, we're conference champions!"

Part of the game.

If you take away the last two innings of the Tennessee vs. Kentucky semifinal, then Tennessee was no better than a team that failed to make regionals...
