Saban only complains when he sees things turning out of his favor. He just knows if everyone can pay whatever then he's not going to be able to keep all the top recruits like he's been doing. He can't win bidding wars with different schools for each individual 5*. That means his talent gap over teams will drop. Throw in Emmert leaving and the transfer portal giving all the players he lies to a way out and he has no control anymore.
