While true to some extent, there is truth is his statement. Bama has lost to Georgia and Clemson in the NCG and their road to get there in the SEC has not been a cakewalk by any measure.
But with their unprecedented 2022 class, A&M has proven that NIL deals have potential for a single school to dominate simply by having more financial clout which is definitely not a good thing for college football.

This is what I'm sure Saban means. Hell, most schools around the country just aren't willing to spend as much on their programs, and understandably so. Believe it or not, all areas of the U.S. aren't college football crazy like the South.
