There is no argument that Pitts was a great player. But, Bowers in his freshman year had more yards and TDs than Pitts did in his last season....so if you go by statistics alone,
Bowers 56 882 (15.75) and 12 over 15 games
Pitts 43 770 (17.9) and 12 over 12 games.
Pitts vs an all SEC schedule with fewer games was statistically the better TE. And Pitts had an WR (Toney) that was targeted almost twice as much as Pitts whereas Bowers was the UGA passing O. If you forced them to swap teams Bowers stats stay the same and Pitts hits the portal because he doesn’t want to play for that noodle arm midget.

In fairness Pitts only played 8 games, not 12.

While true...Florida threw the ball a LOT more than georgia did. (Florida 473 Georgia 407....don't forget Florida threw the ball 66 times more than Georgia in 7 fewer games)
And Bowers being the Georgia passing offense means other teams could/should have been able to shut the passing game down easier.

Don't look now, but your bias is showing.
ETA
Your argument fails and I didn't even have to mention that Pitts was a Junior and Bowers was a true freshman.

That’s pretty damn close, and he did it with a major shoulder injury, plus losing his starting QB.
Thanks for disproving your point for me.
