For personal reasons per Curtis at 247. Not taking another job right away.

That seems like a pretty big hit since he’s the numbers guy on the staff. Correct me, if I’m wrong.

I'm curious if he's going to work with his brother at some juncture. Seems odd. Muss must be hard to work for/with. I'm glad he's oddly crazy for our fans sake but would I want to work with the guy? Not a chance.

Why do folks just assume it is Muss as the reason why he left?

Not saying that's always a bad thing. He has more turn over than most but our last coach had guys just hanging around which wasn't good.

Moser is the one that’s been with Muss before so he knew what he was getting. Curtis did make sure to clarify that there wasn’t a rift between the two. He also pointed out that Moser stepped away for a few games during the season. Sounds like this is tied to whatever that was about.

Maybe its a family issue? Could be one of a million issues. Either way sounds like they knew this was coming and already had a replacement planned out.

Happy for Ruta. He's paid his dues here and at Nevada. It's cool to see guys who work their tail off get promoted.

I bet he goes younger. No older dudes really want to work 80-90 hours a week when they aren’t in charge.

Be like Van Horn a couple years ago and say I’m happy to be the old guy, let them do all that.

Ruta has always seemed like Muss right hand man, and knows numbers as good as anybody else. Glad to see him get the promotion with Moser leaving.
