Well Mississippi is around 4th in the U.S. by casino gambling revenue. Mississippi tourism generated almost 7 billion dollars in 2021. The coast accounts for about 14-15 million tourists a year. That's roughly Destin, Pensacola, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores numbers combined. The coast offers quite a lot besides casino resorts if you know how to explore. From seafood, museums, parks, to breweries, art exhibits
and 300 years of local Spanish, French and Native American history...plus Civil War. There's also limitless saltwater and freshwater fishing, boating and canoeing.

the Mississippi Delta region is the birthplace of blues music, which begat rock music, so Mississippi is a hell of a lot more significant than Arkansas.
